Will the glass ever be full?

A glass... or for some a cup. I use this as a metaphor of how I see human behaviors, we are like a glass that never becomes full and therefore needs to be filled continuously. We live and we learn, we experience and we make memories, all this fills the glass everyday. Our achievements too, our riches... it is known that humans are never satisfied with themselves. One can wish to have a mansion and works so hard to achieve that dream, luckily they endup making their dream come true then they start thinking something is missing and start wanting something else or a bigger and much complex mansion and etc. With that said, we go back to the glass again, its never filled because apart from all the memories, lessons, achievements and riches, we will always want more. Very few are those who would feel satisfied when they get what they want and even they still add on to their lives...

Apart from achievements, even in relationships we always want more. Demands grow as the relationship grows, those who are lucky or we can say 'meant' to be together will always complete each other one way or the other and those who were just not lucky end up going separate ways because they couldn't handle the other's demands. They say true love is enough, but is it really enough in the world of today?, people have gotten so money driven that material things mean more than life itself. The demands are often materialistic than emotional. It is said that today people are more scared of failing in life than being scared of death. That's how driven people are now a days, question is will there ever be enough to give all these driven people what they want?, when it comes to love it only takes two people who really want to be together and are working towards staying together, Otherwise most of these relationships don't work because neither of the people involved put staying together and making things work as one of their priorities. Their priority is just making it in life and they are really not ready for "that" kind of relationship where "true love" is involved.

The question is will the glass ever be full?... my answer is the only time it stops getting empty is when it breaks, the only time we will ever stop wanting more is when our time is up and its time to leave earth, the only time we will be satisfied is when we are dead.
